Mobile Tech Lead · Fintech

I build the financial apps opening up credit across Latin America.

I'm Mauricio Pacheco. I was part of the team that brought Bre-B payment keys to millions of Bancolombia customers. Today I lead mobile development at Creditop: the platform connecting users, merchants, and lenders to create a world without financial barriers — from Colombia to the wider region. Flutter · Kotlin · Swift, with an AI-First way of working.

The story

Three chapters, one obsession: financial software that can't go down.

  1. 01 · Bancolombia · Bre-B

The team that connected a bank to instant payments

At Capgemini I was part of the team that developed the mobile front end of Mi Bancolombia's payment-keys pilot: the gateway that took the bank's clients into Bre-B, Colombia's Central Bank instant-payments system. I collaborated on API integration, widgets built on the corporate design system, and the architecture of critical transactional flows — the kind of software where stability is non-negotiable.

  2. 02 · Creditop

From zero to production — and from Colombia to the region

At Creditop I lead mobile development and took the app from zero to public production: architecture (Flutter, Clean Architecture), plus product and architecture decisions across the whole chain. Creditop connects users, merchants, and lenders on a single platform, with one clear mission: a world without financial barriers. The mobile app is the front door, and the road runs from Colombia to the wider region.

  3. 03 · AI-First

    I direct AI — I don't follow it

I work AI-First: I use artificial intelligence as a multiplier to ship faster and with higher quality. But I lead the technical judgment and the architecture decisions. AI accelerates execution; direction stays human.

AI-First

AI multiplies. Judgment leads.

I work AI-First: I use artificial intelligence as a multiplier to ship faster and with higher quality, but I lead the technical judgment and the architecture decisions. I direct AI — I don't follow it.

AI executes, the human leads

AI-assisted development accelerates delivery, but every architecture decision, every trade-off, and every review goes through senior engineering judgment.

Speed without sacrificing quality

CI/CD pipelines, unit and widget tests, and rigorous reviews: AI isn't a shortcut around discipline — it's a lever to apply it faster.

Fundamentals first

Clean Architecture, design patterns, and command of the native stack. AI amplifies what you already know; it doesn't replace understanding what you're building.
